Sorry to say that it's been awhile since I've posted. My life has been interesting the last couple of months--to say the least. Nevertheless, I have new photographs for your viewing pleasure. I had the delight of photographing Andy and Michelle, a couple from Memphis, TN, for their engagement session. They're a wonderful couple so gleefully in love. It was thoroughly enjoyable working with them. We started off at an older part of town and moved around from there--ending up at the nearby Mississippi River. What a gorgeous, but chilly day we had yesterday. Enjoy the photographs! There are more on my website.

Phil's Model Shoot
Over the weekend, I had the privilege of shooting a handsome man, Phil. Here are some of the wonderful photographs I took of this dashing young man!
Here is Phil just waiting for me to set my camera. It is so fun when the shots you take for meter readings turn out splendidly!
This is one of my favorite shots of the shoot. I just love how the light spotlights the mysterious look on his face!
I couldn't help but post of the images I was playing around with in Lightroom. Look at Phil glow!
Phil, thanks again for a great shoot!

Zach's Senior Session
Recently, I had the pleasure of taking portraits of Zach to celebrate his senior year. He was a lot of fun to shoot! As a photographer, it is really easy to get good shots when you have a good model. Zach certainly enjoyed himself!
Not only is Zach a talented model, but he's also a talented artist. This portrait highlights the tattoo that Zach drew himself.
Watch out ladies, he comes Zach.

Congratulations Brandon and Crystal!
Sweet love is SO adorable! Brandon and Crystal just recently got married, and their wedding was beautiful. They had a Cinderella-themed wedding with the guys donned in fedoras and canes! What fun!!
I just love how that window light just lit up Crystal's already-glowing face!
The kiss at the alter. :)
I love this photograph! Just look at Brandon's smile as he sees Crystal for the first time!
The little ring-bearer was too cute as he handed the shoe to Brandon on the pillow. He then eagerly watched Brandon as he slipped the shoe onto Crystal's foot.
The hats and canes just added to the pizazz of the wedding!
Good luck to the two of you. I look forward to your future years together.

Change is coming
Ok,
So I know it's been awhile since I've posted. That will change very soon. Right now, I'm in in the midst of moving (twice--once from Montana to Indiana, and another from Indiana to Tennessee) and doing a mini-makeover of my website and blog. Just keep checking in and I will have some new portraits up very soon.

Shoot Two Images
Friday I had another fashion shoot with some of my colleagues. With extra light modifiers and soft boxes, wonderful models, helpful assistants, and a generous location owner, the shoot was a huge success. I'm putting a couple images here for your pleasure. More will arrive at my website later this week.
Just like before, let me know what you think!
Challenge yourself today. Take a photograph of something you've never captured on camera--but do it in a way that gives us a new perspective of the object. Attach the image with your comments. I'd love to see your work!
Happy shooting!

Shoot Number Two
Last week's shoot went wonderfully! Besides a little snafu at the beginning concerning the clothes, everything went smoothly. The models were great, and the gentleman assisting me with the lights was a big help! Some of the photos are posted on my website. Let me know what you think of them. For those of you who don't have a blog site and are unsure whether or not you can comment on my posts, you should be able to do so without having to register. If you can't, feel free to email me at anyahershberger@gmail.com with your comments. I'd love to hear what you have to say about my work or my blog posts. It's always nice receiving feedback.
This past week, I've been busy sifting through last week's shoot, posting some new images, and preparing for tomorrow's adventures. Tomorrow, I will be shooting in an art showroom--which is decked out with a baby Grand piano, brown leather couches, fur rugs, classy tables and chairs, a full kitchen, a gorgeous terrace, and beautiful lighting! I have the models lined up and sketches drawn. I will be doing something similar to what I did before, but with a little less mood lighting.
The people in this town are wonderful to work with. They are very understanding of artists and photographers who are trying to do their projects as best as possible. It has certainly made my job easier. As a new person to the town with few resources, the friendly faces have helped me feel like a part of this community.
Thanks everyone!
